Make Your Chores (almost) Automatic

Bothy is a chore tracking app for shared homes. Set up your chore rotation once, and it assigns who does what, sends the reminders so you don't have to nag, and keeps a record of what got done.

Coming soon to iOS and Android.

Completing a chore is as easy as tap and hold.

Try it below. Tap and hold any chore until it's marked done. Finished chores drop below the line, so the whole house can see what's left.

Add a chore in plain English.

Tap a few options and Bothy turns them into a sentence you can read at a glance. If it sounds right, that's exactly what will happen.

Alex, Maya and Jordan take turns with organizing the kitchen every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:15 pm.

Rotation

When

What Bothy takes off your plate.

The behind-the-scenes work of a shared home usually lands on one person. Bothy does it for everyone.

Never track whose turn it is

Add people to a chore's rotation once, and Bothy hands each turn to the next person automatically.

Stop being the one who nags

Bothy sends the reminders: when a chore is due, when it slips, and in an evening summary. Quiet hours keep it from pinging anyone at bedtime.

Know who did what, any day

Bothy records every completion and skip by day and by person, and you can export it whenever you want.

Built for every kind of household.

Kids, a partner, roommates, or just you. Everyone sees what's theirs and what's next, so nobody has to run the house from memory.

Families

Kids know what's theirs without being told.

Each kid gets their own chores and their own reminders, so the morning doesn't start with a list shouted up the stairs.

Couples

Share the load without keeping score.

You both see what's yours and what's next, and the reminders come from the app, not from each other.

Roommates

No more group chat about whose turn it is.

Set up the rotation once, and the bathroom, the kitchen, and trash night move to the next person on their own.

Solo homes

Stop keeping the whole week in your head.

See what's due today and nothing else. Bothy reminds you when the rest comes up.

See if the work is split fairly.

Bothy shows how the week's chores were split between everyone, so you can rebalance before anyone feels shortchanged or overworked.

Common questions.

Who is Bothy for?

Anyone who shares a home: families, couples, and roommates. It works just as well if you live alone and want your chores off your mind. A two-person apartment and a house of five use the same app. The only difference is how many names are in the rotation.

How does Bothy keep chores fair?

Recurring chores rotate between the people you choose, so the same job doesn't keep landing on the same person. Everyone sees the same list, and a weekly view shows how the work was split.

Does Bothy send reminders?

Yes. Bothy reminds people when a chore is due, when it slips, and with an evening summary. Set quiet hours so nobody gets pinged at bedtime. The nudge comes from the app, not from whoever noticed first.

Can kids use it?

Yes. Kids see their own chores and can check them off, but they can't change how the household is set up.
