Your chore schedule, (almost) automatic.
Bothy is a chore tracking app for families, couples, roommates, and people who live alone. It rotates chores between the people you live with, sends the reminders, and keeps a record of what got done. It's in development now for iOS and Android, and the waitlist is open.
What Bothy does.
Chore rotations
Never keep track of whose turn it is again. Add people to a chore once, and Bothy hands each turn to the next person, whether it repeats daily, weekly, monthly, or anytime this week. If someone's away, Bothy skips them instead of stalling the rotation.
Reminders
Stop being the one who reminds everyone. Bothy sends the reminders: when a chore is due, when it slips, and in an evening summary. Quiet hours keep it from pinging anyone at bedtime.
Chore history and export
Settle "did anyone clean the bathroom?" in five seconds. Bothy records every completion and skip by day and by person, with any note they left, and you can export it whenever you want.
Fair-split view
Spot an uneven week before it turns into an argument. Bothy shows how the week's chores were split between everyone, and owners also get a monthly view of each person's share and the chores your house skips most.
Chores for kids
Kids know what's theirs without being told. Each kid gets their own chores and reminders and checks them off on their own phone, but they can't change how the household is set up.
What makes Bothy different.
Built for every kind of home
Most chore apps are built for one kind of household, usually parents and kids. Bothy works the same for a family of five, a couple, three roommates, or just you. The only difference is how many names are in the rotation.
Schedules for "sometime this week"
Not every chore has a day. Most chore apps make you pick a date or a fixed repeat. Bothy also lets a chore be due anytime this week or anytime this month, for the jobs that just need to happen eventually.
Chores you can read like a sentence
Most chore apps set up a chore through a form full of fields. Bothy reads it back to you as a sentence, like "Alex, Maya and Jordan take turns with the bathroom every Saturday." If it sounds right, that's exactly what will happen.
Who Bothy is for.
Any home that shares the chores, up to 10 people.
- Families with kids old enough to have their own phone, where one parent has been keeping the whole list
- Couples who want to split the housework without reminding each other
- Roommates who rotate the bathroom, the kitchen, and trash night
- People living alone who want to stop keeping the whole week in their head
How Bothy works.
Getting early access
Join the waitlist with just your email. You'll get one message, on the day early access opens on iOS and Android, and nothing before that.
Setting up your household
One person creates the household and shares its invite code with everyone else. Add your chores, pick who's in each rotation, and set when they happen. Bothy handles the turns and reminders from there.
Your data
Bothy doesn't sell your information, show ads, or run behavioral analytics. You can delete your account from your profile whenever you want. The privacy policy has the details.
